Dreams and intelligence are related. A persons dreams can only be as
sophisticated as is his understanding of the things in his dreams; his
current knowledge.
This is why dreaming is useful - a person can evaluate his ideas without any kind of new information.
The
reason this is useful is that a greater part of the brain can focus on a
single idea, while usually some would be working on processing input
from the senses.
Hence takes form a hypothesis - a person can't
dream of things he doesn't know, no matter how much information his head
contains about it. Only understanding can cause dreams.
